CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Eris Naomi May, 80, of Charleston died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at Charleston Manor.

She was born March 18, 1923, in Oakland, Ill., daughter of John Ozro and Elsie Harvey Lehr. She and William Warren May were married Oct. 11, 1941. He died May 7, 1996.

May lived in Mississippi County most of her life. She was a member of Wyatt Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons, Warren May of San Jose, Calif., Ozro May of Middleberg, Fla., Ronald May of Lilbourn, Mo., Stanley May of Charleston; four daughters, Naomi Brantley of Charleston, Brenda Riggs of Bertrand, Mo., Carolyn Swim of Blytheville, Ark., Gail Lee of Benton, Mo.; a brother, Anderson Lehr of Lodi, Wis.; two sisters, Leota Stokes of Rockford, Ill., Mary Cross of Lodi; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tom Bridges officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
