Erie Milo Goodpasture, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1996, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Oct. 30, 1917, in Reynoldsville, Ill., the son of Solomon G. and Cora A. Estes Goodpasture. On Feb. 24, 1941, in Jackson, he married Alida W. Hoffman.
He was baptized and confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills and was a member of the Hanover Lutheran Church. He was a building contractor.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Charles Goodpasture and James Goodpasture, both of Jackson; two daughters, Sharon Walker of St. Louis and Carol Finney of Herrin, Ill.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, three brothers, one sister and one grandson.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Funeral Home Mount Auburn Chapel.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hanover Lutheran Church with the Rev. Jeffrey Sippy officiating.
