SIKESTON, Mo. -- Emory Oliver, 80, of Sikeston died Thursday, March 3, 2005, at his home.
He was born Oct. 30, 1924, in Princeton, Ky., son of Cullen Hezekiah and Dora Elizabeth Kappler Oliver. He and Priscilla Ann Houchins were married June 25, 1960, in Sikeston.
Oliver worked more than 10 years at Reiss Dairy, and also worked in construction 28 years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Emory Oliver; a daughter, Mary Ann Kempfer; a brother, Eugene Oliver; a sister, Ida Wallace, all of Sikeston; two grandchildren; numerous stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. The Rev. James Long Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
