EMMA VOLZ

JACKSON -- Funeral service for Emma Drucille Volz of Jackson will be held at 1 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jeff Militti will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 8 a.m. to service time.

Volz, 80, died Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at Jackson Manor.

She was born Sept. 7, 1916, at Gordonville, daughter of Zetty and Tava Seabaugh Thompson. She and George E. Volz were married Sept. 6, 1942. He died July 7, 1996.

She was co-owner and operator of G.E. Volz Upholstery in Cape Girardeau, retiring in 1979. She was a charter member of Shawnee Hills Baptist Church and member of Women's Missionary Society.

Volz moved to St. Louis nine years ago from Cape Girardeau, and to Jackson a year ago.

Survivors include a daughter, Jean Ann Rivers of St. Louis, and a granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by a brother.
