ADVANCE -- Emma Owens, 77, Advance Route 2, died Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter. She was born April 29, 1915, at Buchanan, daughter of Jason and Florence Myers Hedrick. She and Lewis Owens were married April 17, 1946. He died Sept. 19, 1988...

ADVANCE -- Emma Owens, 77, Advance Route 2, died Tuesday, March 30, 1993, at Crowley Ridge Care Center in Dexter.

She was born April 29, 1915, at Buchanan, daughter of Jason and Florence Myers Hedrick. She and Lewis Owens were married April 17, 1946. He died Sept. 19, 1988.

Survivors include a son, Jim Owens, Advance Route 2; three daughters, Sherry Nanney of New Bloomfield, Sharon Nanney of Leesburg, Vicki Cook of Glen Allen; a sister, Mary Brashear of Advance; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Morgan Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Dan Sitze will officiate, with burial in Bollinger County Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-9 p.m. today.
