PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Emma Irene Hudson of Perryville died Dec. 14, 2010, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation in Perryville. She was 96.
She was born in Silver Lake, Mo., on June 24, 1914, daughter of the late Walter and Clara Henderson Coffelt. She and Clyde Hudson were married Oct. 20, 1941. He preceded her in death Feb. 2, 2006.
Survivors include a daughter, Glenda L. and John E. Quinn of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Richard and Patricia Hudson of Cincinnati, Prince E. and Shirley Hudson of Perryville, Roger L. and Elizabeth Hudson of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren, Matthew Quinn of Columbia, Ill., Kellie Phillips of Cape Girardeau, Rebecca Bishop of Festus, Mo., Kim Bock of Uniontown, Mo., Nathan Hudson of Perryville, Seth Hudson of Chesterfield, Mo., Zachary Hudson of Kirksville, Mo., Vivien Jimenez of Cincinnati; 12 great-grandchildren, Mehgan Quinn of Columbia, Mo., Alex Quinn of Jacksonville, Ill., Morganne and Luke Phillips of Cape Girardeau, Allyson and Austin Bock of Uniontown, Hope and Alaina Hudson of Perryville, and Sam, Adam, Jonah and Elijah Bishop of Festus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters; seven brothers; and a grandson, Richard F. Hudson.
Mrs. Hudson was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Young and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Oscar Lukefahr officiating. Burial will be in Home Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Southeast Hospice.
