EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Emma Lou Shelby Felts, 75, died Thursday Sept. 13, 2001, at her East Prairie home.
Born July 11, 1926 in East Prairie, she was the daughter of Travis W. and Lena Murphy Shelby.
On Dec. 13, 1947 she was married to Edward L. Felts who died April 21, 1980.
Felts and her husband owned and operated Shelby Furniture and Appliance and Shelby Funeral Homes Inc. In 1995, Felts was named East Prairie Chamber of Commerce Woman of the Year.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in East Prairie.
Survivors include a son, Lee Felts, of Richboro, Pa.; a daughter, Sandra Oliver of East Prairie; six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Fred Girdwood and Jerry Willer officiating. Burial will follow in the Dogwood Cemetery.
