Emma Melissa Brasher, 93, of Jackson died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003, at Jackson Manor.
She was born Jan. 2, 1910, in Grays Point, Mo., daughter of Willis and Mattie Ford Reed. She and Andrew W. Brasher were married Oct. 21, 1929, at Cape Girardeau. He died Dec. 26, 1991.
Brasher worked at Southeast Hospital in the kitchen. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons; Jerry Brasher of Harrisburg, Ill., and Grover Brasher of Alton Mo.; three daughters, Mary E. Haupt of Cape Girardeau, Patsy Englehart of Hagerstown, Md., and Martha Bollig of St. Charles, Mo.; and 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother and four sisters.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Chapel.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
