PARMA -- Emma Barnes, 92, of Parma died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998, at Dexter Memorial Hospital in Dexter.

She was born May 16, 1906, in Hughes, Ark., daughter of Phillip and Maggie Hughes. She first married Jonas Porter, and later married Cleave Barnes in 1943. Both preceded her in death.

Barnes lived in Poplar Bluff 36 years, and in Michigan 40 years, moving to Parma several weeks ago. She was a member of Golden Light Missionary Church in Benton Harbor, Mich.

Survivors include a son, Ralph Porter of Chicago; a daughter, Lillie Johnson of Parma; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 41 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, with the Rev. LeRoy Williams officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery at Malden.

Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from noon until service time.
