Emily Emma Struby, 97, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 15, 1995, at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

She was born July 30, 1897, in Dutchtown, the daughter of William and Louise Tunze Geiser.

She worked as a waitress and hostess at the Marquette Hotel from the day the hotel opened until it closed 32 years later. She was a member of Evangelical United Church of Christ.

She is survived by a daughter, Lorene Mabrey of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lorimier Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Caughlan officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
