ANNA, Ill. -- Emily Glidewell Franklin, 84, of Anna died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at her home.
Franklin was born Dec. 7, 1916, in Gorham, Ill., daughter of James and Judith Clark Glidewell.
She married Alva F. "Bill" Franklin on Jan. 8, 1936, in Jonesboro, Ill. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Moody of Santa Monica, Calif.; two sons, John Franklin of Germantown, Tenn., and Jerry Franklin of Holtville, Calif.; two sisters, Ernestine Vogelman of Gorham and Catherine Spillman of Dupo, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Lutz & Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna.
Graveside service will be held at noon Tuesday at Goodbread Cemetery near Gorham, with the Rev. Bill Vandergraph officiating.
