SIKESTON, Mo. — Emil “Tony” LeGrand, age 82, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
On June 22, 1957, he married Mary Frances (Bollinger) LeGrand at St. Denis Catholic Church in Benton, Missouri.
He was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
His hobbies included playing golf, watching golf and talking golf.
After graduating from Benton High School, he was employed by the St. Louis–San Francisco Railroad until he was inducted into the Army, serving from August 1957 to 1959. He was then employed by Bucher-McCann Accounting Firm until his retirement in 2010.
He served on the parish council and was a member of the Sikeston Jaycee Rodeo for several years, serving as Treasurer.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Cossiboom of Lavergne, Tennessee, and one son, Christopher LeGrand of Sikeston; two grandchildren, Ashley and Morgan Cossiboom, and one great-grandchild.
Preceding him in death were two sons, Michael and Bradley LeGrand; his father, William LeGrand; mother, Lucy LeGrand; five brothers and six sisters.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston, with the Rev. Patrick Nwokoye officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
Active pallbearers are Tim and Ted LeGrand, Alec and Ty Burden, and Kevin and Brian Greaser.
Honorary pallbearers are Harry White, Ronald Eaker, Jack Lopp, Jim Largent, Travis Garrett, Morty Potashnick, Glenn Matthews, Ronald Cullins, René DeKriek and Allen Blanton.
