Elwanda "Wanda" Searcy, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, April 6, 2012, at Southeast Hospital.
She was born Nov. 27, 1922, in Malden, Mo.
Wanda was an active member of Zion United Methodist Church, was a wonderful cook and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her husband, Earle Searcy of Cape Girardeau; a son, David and Linda Searcy of Waverly, Ill.; four daughters, Ruby and Truman Lemons of Cape Girardeau, Frances and Bill Van Noy of Little Rock, Ark., Erma and Steven Fernandes of San Diego, Janalyn and Marcus Miller of Petersburg, Ill.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Larry Searcy; a sister, Dora Lampkins; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to service time Monday at Zion United Methodist Church in Gordonville.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with Joel Kidwell officiating. Burial will be in Zion Church Cemetery.
Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
