Elvis Koon

Elvis R. Koon, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Lutheran Home.

He was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Grand Rivers, Ky., son of Elgie and Reba M. Collins Koon. He and Anna Jean Kyle were married Dec. 30, 1947, in Piggott, Ark.

Koon moved to Cape Girardeau in August 1979 from Flat River, Mo. He was an auto service manager many years, retiring from Wieser Motor Co. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Stephen Koon of Chesterfield, Mo.; three daughters, Linda Krueger of Cape Girardeau, Angela Baker of Ballwin, Mo., Pamela Elders of Farmington, Mo.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to service time.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Mike Shupert officiating. Burial will be in Portageville Cemetery in Portageville, Mo.
