BERTRAND -- Elvis E. Alberson, 76, of Bertrand, died Monday, Aug. 12, 1991, at his home.
He was born Oct. 12, 1914, at Sikeston, son of William Earl and Rose Ferron Alberson. He married Mildred Myers Jan. 13, 1934, who died Dec. 19, 1983. He later married Arneeda Hornback June 8, 1987.
Alberson was formerly part owner of AAA Credit Co. He later owned and operated Mid-States Credit Co. He served in the Maritime Coast Guard during World War II.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Tom Alberson of Sikeston; a daughter, Kitty Perry of Granbury, Texas; two stepsons, Michael and Rick Hornback of Sikeston; two brothers, Ray Alberson of Sikeston, Charles Alberson of Sacramento, Calif.; three sisters, Opal Anderson of Mokelumme Hill, Calif., Geraldine Lewis of Tucson, Ariz., Jo Annette Oertli of St. Louis, and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a granddaughter.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Billie Butler will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service.
