ELVIRDIA HANEY INGERSOLL

CHAFFEE -- Elvirdia Haney Ingersoll, 86, of Chaffee, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born May 12, 1906, in Swifton, Ark., daughter of Goldman and Megdalen Schunalt Ditto. She married Virgil Lee Haney in 1923 in Alicia, Ark. He died Oct. 29, 1963. She married Leland Ingersoll in 1970, who died in 1973...

CHAFFEE -- Elvirdia Haney Ingersoll, 86, of Chaffee, died Monday, Aug. 10, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born May 12, 1906, in Swifton, Ark., daughter of Goldman and Megdalen Schunalt Ditto. She married Virgil Lee Haney in 1923 in Alicia, Ark. He died Oct. 29, 1963. She married Leland Ingersoll in 1970, who died in 1973.

Ingersoll worked 15 years at Buckstein Pants Factory here, and retired after 20 years at Banning Shirt Co. in Banning, Calif. She moved back to Chaffee in 1975 from Banning.

Survivors include three sons, Melton "Jack" Haney of Scott City, Von Haney of Chaffee, Virgil Haney Jr. of Whitehouse Station, N.J.; two daughters, Anna Kurley of Chicago, Juanita McClain of Delta; 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a half brother.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dennis Breland officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
