PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elvira Marie Schwach, 84, of Perryville, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville. She was born March 30, 1922, in Menfro, Mo., daughter of Gilbert E. and Isabelle R. Bienleine Brewer. She and Franklin Emmendorfer were married and he preceded her in death. She and John V. Schwach were married on April 17, 1978. He died Nov. 7, 2004...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elvira Marie Schwach, 84, of Perryville, died Saturday, April 1, 2006, at the Perry County Memorial Hospital in Perryville.

She was born March 30, 1922, in Menfro, Mo., daughter of Gilbert E. and Isabelle R. Bienleine Brewer. She and Franklin Emmendorfer were married and he preceded her in death. She and John V. Schwach were married on April 17, 1978. He died Nov. 7, 2004.

Schwach was a rover and supervisor for Shoe Factory and Prince Gardner. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, V.F.W. Auxiliary, former member of St. Marys Catholic Church in LaCenter, Ky., and its Ladies Sodality, and active in the Community Center in Perryville.

Survivors include three sons, Linus, Robert and William Emmendorfer, all of Perryville; a stepson, Donald Schwach of Corona, Calif.; nine grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, a stepson, a stepdaughter, a great-grandson and a stepgrandson.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday. A Catholic wake will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday, a VFW Auxiliary wake will be at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday and Rosary will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral mass will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
