Elvira Engert, 93, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 2, 1927, in Tilsit, Missouri, daughter of Otto F. and Wilhemina Baer Werner. She and Edward E. "Cut" Engert were married Sept. 24, 1950, in Frohna, Missouri. He passed away April 14, 2006...

Elvira Engert, 93, of Oak Ridge passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Life Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 2, 1927, in Tilsit, Missouri, daughter of Otto F. and Wilhemina Baer Werner. She and Edward E. "Cut" Engert were married Sept. 24, 1950, in Frohna, Missouri. He passed away April 14, 2006.

Elvira was baptized at Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit and confirmed at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna. She was currently a member at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Loving survivors include two children, Shelby Engert and Jo Dean (Radley) Jauch, both of Oak Ridge; three grandchildren Alex Jauch, Cara (Brandon) Rains and Chris (Wendy) Jauch; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Also surviving are a brother, Ervin (Darlene) Werner, and a sister-in-law, Kathryn Werner, both of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Funeral service will be private for the immediate family.

Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Saxony Lutheran High School.
