ELSIE P. WALTON

SIKESTON -- Elsie P. Walton, 78, of rural Sikeston died Sunday, Nov. 2, 1997, at the Festus Nursing Center at Festus.

She was born Aug. 6, 1919, at Marquand to Thomas and Jane Lawrence Pulliam.

She was a housewife and a member of the Morley Baptist Church in Morley.

She married Vinis Walton in 1935. He died April 9, 1976.

She is survived by a son, Marvin Walton of Sikeston; two daughters, Wanda McDonald of Bloomsdale and Linda Gilliland of Glenwood, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 tonight at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Graveside services will be a 2 p.m. Wednesday at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Morley, with Don Bahr officiating. Interment will follow.
