Funeral service for Elode Steckler of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. The Rev. Earl Statler will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to service time.

Steckler, 93, died Monday, Sept. 15, 1997, at Jackson Manor in Jackson.

She was born Oct. 17, 1903, at Whitewater, daughter of Leo and Nancy Proffer Steckler.

Steckler worked at Ely Walker Co. in Illmo -- now Scott City.

Survivors include three sisters, Hazel Fiehler of Cape Girardeau, Helen Hitt of Florissant, and Verna Vernell of Tulsa, Okla.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.
