CHARLESTON -- Elnora Batts, 92, of Charleston died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Charleston Manor Nursing Center. She was born Dec. 28, 1905, in Mt. Olive, Miss. She married David Batts, who preceded her in death. Batts had lived in Missouri since 1936. She was a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church...

CHARLESTON -- Elnora Batts, 92, of Charleston died Sunday, June 21, 1998, at Charleston Manor Nursing Center.

She was born Dec. 28, 1905, in Mt. Olive, Miss. She married David Batts, who preceded her in death.

Batts had lived in Missouri since 1936. She was a member of Mercy Seat Baptist Church.

Survivors include five grandchildren, Terry, Vanessa and Darryl Dampier and Kevin McGee, all of St. Louis, Charles McGee of Charleston; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home after 11 a.m. Monday.

Funeral will be at noon Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Murry Williams officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
