MORLEY, Mo. -- Elmer Lee Taylor, 78, of Morley died Monday, July 26, 2010, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 9, 1931, in Blytheville, Ark., to Odie and Gracee Blanks Taylor. He and Barbara Jeanne Emmons were married Feb. 4, 1997, in Benton, Mo.
Taylor was an over-the-road truck driver with ABF Truck Line.
Survivors include his wife; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Daniella Taylor and Elmer Lee and Jennifer Taylor, all of Edmond, Okla.; three stepsons and spouses, Michael and Nicole Goeringer of Bellevue, Neb., Scott and Rachel Holte of Dwight, Ill., Rolf and Laura Holte of Jacksonville, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Rebecca Taylor; a brother; and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston, Mo.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Lloyd Latham of Sandywood Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in New Morley Cemetery.
