SCOTT CITY -- Elmer Leon Puchbauer, 74, of Scott City died Thursday, Oct. 24, 1991 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born April 11, 1917 in Cape Girardeau to Albert and Elizabeth Eifert Puchbauer. On May 27, 1944, he married Georgia Ruth Kjer in Denton, Texas. She survives. SCOTT CITY -- Elmer Leon Puchbauer, 74, of Scott City died Thursday, Oct. 24, 1991 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 11, 1917 in Cape Girardeau to Albert and Elizabeth Eifert Puchbauer.

On May 27, 1944, he married Georgia Ruth Kjer in Denton, Texas. She survives. Also surviving is one son, Steven Puchbauer of Hot Springs, S.D.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

He worked as a machine operator at the Florshiem Shoe Company in Cape Girardeau. He was an Army veteran, serving in World War II. He attained the rank of staff sergeant.

Friends may call today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Daniel Wagner of the Eisleben Lutheran Church in Scott City will officiate. Burial will follow in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
