Elmer L. "Junior" Heuring, 53, of Scott City died Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at his home.
He was born Sept. 6, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Elmer George and Alene Catherine Scherer Heuring. He and Patty Louise Vernon were married July 12, 1993, in Perryville, Mo.
Heuring was a forklift operator at Rubbermaid in Jackson. He was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo.
He served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his wife; a son Jonathan Heuring of the home; a daughter, Suzan Glover of Arnold, Mo.; a stepson, Jacob Little of the home; his parents of Scott City; two sisters, Diane Minor of Scott City, Karen Heuring of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandmother, Vernetta Scherer of Scott City; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a son and a sister.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday. A prayer service will be held at 7, and Knights of Columbus service at 7:15.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
