DUTCHTOWN -- Elmar Louis Rau, 81, of Nashville, Tenn., died Tuesday, Aug. 6, 1991, at Helen Pate Bain Health Care Center in Nashville.
He was born March 5, 1910, at Dutchtown, son of Louis and Helena Keller Rau. He and Frances Pangborn were married April 29, 1942.
Rau was retired owner of Southern Oil Co., a distribution firm in Nashville.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim and John Rau of Nashville, and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church in Nashville.
Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home in Nashville is in charge of arrangements.
