SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Elma G. Dunlap of Springfield, formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Thrusday, May 8, 1997 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. She was born Feb. 25, 1942, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of the Rev. John E. and Arbutus Gourley of Jackson. She and Archie David Dunlap were married Jan. 20, 1961 in St. Charles. He proceeded her in death Sept. 22, 1991...

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Elma G. Dunlap of Springfield, formerly of Poplar Bluff, died Thrusday, May 8, 1997 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

She was born Feb. 25, 1942, at Cape Girardeau, daughter of the Rev. John E. and Arbutus Gourley of Jackson. She and Archie David Dunlap were married Jan. 20, 1961 in St. Charles. He proceeded her in death Sept. 22, 1991.

Dunlap was a child care giver at the YMCA in Springfield. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Taryl Dunlap of Sikeston, Sherlyn Dunlap and Karla Dunlap of Springfield; a grandchild; her parents; and three brothers, Nathaniel Gourley of St. Louis, Michael Gourley of Woodberry, and John Mark Gourley of Laurinbury, N.C.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff. The Rev. Elmer Revelle will officiate, with burial in the Kinsey Cemetery in Popular Bluff.

Friends may call at the chapel at 7 p.m. Monday.
