MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Ellen Minton, 86, of Marble Hill died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005, at her home.

She was born March 31, 1918, in Olive Branch, Ill., daughter of Dee and Delphine Sammons. She and Hollis Minton were married April 9, 1936.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Hollis Minton Jr. of Poplar Bluff, Mo., Richard Minton of Bourbonnais, Ill., Patrick Minton of Jackson, Walter Minton of Marble Hill, James Minton of Scott City; three daughters, Mary Fugate of Ottawa, Ill., Naomi Galeno of Houston, Texas, Martha McDonald of state of Missouri; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery near Thebes, Ill.
