SIKESTON -- Emily Ellen Fleurdelys, 76, of Sikeston died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at her home. She was born July 29, 1922, at Charleston, daughter of Earnest A. and Gertrude Hurley Poeppelmeyer. She and John W. Fleurdelys were married May 9, 1940. He died Sept. 8, 1996...

SIKESTON -- Emily Ellen Fleurdelys, 76, of Sikeston died Saturday, June 5, 1999, at her home.

She was born July 29, 1922, at Charleston, daughter of Earnest A. and Gertrude Hurley Poeppelmeyer. She and John W. Fleurdelys were married May 9, 1940. He died Sept. 8, 1996.

Survivors include a son, Ronald Fleurdelys of Vancouver, Wa.; a daughter, Diann Hagerty of St. Charles, Ill.; a brother, Charles "Bill" Poeppelmeyer of Bloomfield; a sister, Mary Miller of Charleston; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, a sister, and two brothers.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until service time.
