VIENNA, Ill. -- Ellen Marie Burns, 91, of LaGrange, Ga., died Sunday, March 10, 1996, at Brian Center Nursing Care in LaGrange.
She was born Sept. 28, 1904, south of Vienna, daughter of Charles A. and Grace Atherton Parker. She married George E. Burns, who died in 1988.
Burns retired as a teacher from Illinois School for the Deaf. She was a member of Inwood Baptist Church in Winter Haven, Fla.
Survivors include a niece, Dorothy Cummins of Vienna, and a nephew, Wayne Cochran of LaGrange.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Shiloh Baptist Church near Villa Ridge, with the Rev. Larry Miller officiating. Burial will be in Shiloh Cemetery.
