SIKESTON -- Ella M. Reed, 92, of Sikeston died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1997, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 4, 1905, in Decaturville, Tenn., daughter of Will and Johnannie Warren Yarber.

Reed had been a nurse aide in a hospital and nursing home in Rockford, Ill.

Survivors include a son, Jim Matthews of New Mexico; two daughters, Dorothy Tinnin of Sikeston, Mary Diemechio of Rockford; two brothers, Frank Yarber of St. Louis, Ed Yarber of Kennett; 19 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, and a granddaughter.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mounds Park Cemetery near Lilbourn.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time.
