CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Elizabeth Reischman Hartman, daughter of the late Joseph and Lena Koenig Spooler, was born April 12, 1923, in Glennon, Missouri, and departed this life Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019, at Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee, at the age of 96 years.
Elizabeth was a cook for many years at the Catholic and public schools in Oran, Missouri. She was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran and a resident of Chaffee.
She was first united in marriage to Earnest Reischman in 1947 at Oran. He preceded her in death Dec. 5, 1990. She was then united in marriage to Harold Hartman in 1999 at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death Jan. 10, 2006.
Survivors include two sons, Don (Loraine) Reischman of Chaffee and Gary (Debbie) Reischman of New Hamburg, Missouri; four daughters, Dolores Pobst and Rosemary (Gaylon) Bryeans, both of Oran, Ruth (Gus) Heisserer of Scott City, and Judy (Steve) Tainter of St. Peters, Missouri; two sisters, Agnes Moore of Oran and Mary Hinkebein of Silex, Missouri; also by 18 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran. Rosary service will also be held at 5 p.m. today.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
