Elizabeth J. Morris, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 13, 1918, at Baxter Springs, Kan., daughter of Joseph K. and Hazelle G. Pickering Morris. Morris was a legal secretary in Oklahoma City before she retired in 1980. Elizabeth J. Morris, 89, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born July 13, 1918, at Baxter Springs, Kan., daughter of Joseph K. and Hazelle G. Pickering Morris.
Morris was a legal secretary in Oklahoma City before she retired in 1980. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Abbey Road Christian Church.

Survivors include a nephew, David Morris of Cape Girardeau; and a niece, Nita Eichman.
She was preceded in death by a brother and her parents.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Neosho IOOF Cemetery in Neosho, Mo. Lorberg Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau is in charge of arrangements.
