Elizabeth Gilder McMurry, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at Maple Crest Manor. She was born May 21, 1926, at Portageville, Mo., daughter of Herbert and Bertha Overbeck Gilder. She and William Dean McMurry were married Nov. 27, 1952, at St. Charles, Mo. He died Sept. 25, 1978...

Elizabeth Gilder McMurry, 74, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Dec. 29, 2000, at Maple Crest Manor.

She was born May 21, 1926, at Portageville, Mo., daughter of Herbert and Bertha Overbeck Gilder.

She and William Dean McMurry were married Nov. 27, 1952, at St. Charles, Mo. He died Sept. 25, 1978.

She was a member of Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include nine nieces and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.

Friends may call today from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. The Rev. David Bragg will officiate. Burial will be in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery at Gordonville, Mo.
