Elizabeth J. "Betty" Kasten, 72, 1827 Ricardo, died Wednesday, June 16, 1993, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Dec. 5, 1920, in Vandalia, Ill., daughter of Charles H. and Christine McCullough Dieckmann. She first married Jack H. Hawk in 1939 at Vandalia. He died in February 1944. She later married Oscar Kasten March 6, 1948, in Cape Girardeau.
Kasten was an auditor at Sears 10 years, and retired after 15 years as a department manager at Wal-Mart. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Cape Choraliers.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Jack Hawk and Brad Kasten of Jackson; five grandchildren, and a great-grandson.
She was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. David Dissen will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
