Elizabeth Ker Hankinson, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at her home. She was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Staten Island, N.Y., daughter of Joseph and Helen Calvert Handy. She and George L. Hankinson were married June 12, 1937, in Staten Island. He died Aug. 7, 2005...

Elizabeth Ker Hankinson, 91, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, at her home.

She was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Staten Island, N.Y., daughter of Joseph and Helen Calvert Handy. She and George L. Hankinson were married June 12, 1937, in Staten Island. He died Aug. 7, 2005.

Hankinson was a 1936 graduate of Wellesley College in Wellesley, Mass.

Survivors include two daughters, Sally Clark of Englewood, Colo., Robin Hankinson of Pocahontas; a son, Peter Hankinson of Raton, N.M.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.

There are no local services planned.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
