ELIZABETH DAVIS

SIKESTON -- Elizabeth Davis, 88, of Sikeston died Monday, June 8, 1998, at her home.

She was born Feb. 14, 1910, in Hernando, Miss., the daughter of Robert and Lucindia Allen, and spent her adult life in Missouri.

She married Y.T. Davis on April 25, 1925, and he preceded her in death in 1969.

She was a member of the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Sikeston.

She is survived by two sons, Alex and Robert Davis of Chicago; five daughters, Mamie Davis and Doris Peet of Sikeston, Alma Woods of Detroit, Ruby Segers of Las Vegas, and Mary Terry of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Robert N. Allen of Indianapolis; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, a brother and three sisters.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral will be at noon Saturday at the church with the Rev. Flem E. Bronner Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
