JONESBORO, Ill. -- Funeral service for Eleanora T. Stubbs of Anna, Texas, formerly of Jonesboro, will be held at 1 p.m. today at Norris and Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
An Eastern Star service was held Saturday at the funeral home.
Stubbs, 58, died Thursday, July 30, 1992, at HCA Medical Center in Plano, Texas.
A special memorial service will be held at the Collin Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Plano, Tex Aug 8.
She was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Memphis, Tenn., daughter of Joseph and Ada Elizabeth Smith Taormina. She married William C. Stubbs Dec. 16, 1961, in Elgin, Ill.
Stubbs was an engineering technician with Synesis Fiber Optics. She was a member of Jonesboro United Methodist Church, member and past worthy matron of Jonesboro Order of Eastern Star 163.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, William Stubbs of Allen, Texas, Thomas Stubbs of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Becky Winn of San Diego, Calif., Trudi Boling of DuQuoin, Ill., Janet Cotham of Winchester, Tenn.; a sister, Kathryn Savage of Jonesboro, and 14 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
