PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eleanor T. Whistler, 85, of Perryville died on Friday, June 9, 2000, at the Perry County Nursing Home. She was born Nov. 27, 1914, at Perry County, daughter of Gilbert and Edna Kuhlman Richardet. She and Bernard T. Whistler were married May 18, 1937. He preceded her in death Aug. 28, 1989...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Eleanor T. Whistler, 85, of Perryville died on Friday, June 9, 2000, at the Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born Nov. 27, 1914, at Perry County, daughter of Gilbert and Edna Kuhlman Richardet. She and Bernard T. Whistler were married May 18, 1937. He preceded her in death Aug. 28, 1989.

Whistler was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Silver Lake.

Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Franklin of Perryville; a brother, Everett Richardet of Perryville; two sisters, Verna Baudendistel of Perryville and Leona Kasten of Tampa. Fla.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Young & Sons Chapel in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today and 6:30-9:15 a.m. Monday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, with the Rev. Alphonse Hoernig officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
