PAINTON -- Eleanor Coomer, 90, of Painton died Friday, Feb. 6, 1998, at Advance Nursing Center.
She was born May 9, 1907, at High Ridge, daughter of John and Clara Henricks Wondel. She and Gus "Buck" Coomer were married May 31, 1930, at Benton. He died Jan. 17, 1988.
Coomer was a member of Arbor General Baptist Church and its Ladies Missionary Society.
Survivors include five sons, Gus Coomer of Jackson, Elroy Coomer of St. Peters, Nelson Coomer of Ft. Worth, Texas, Lurwin Coomer of Jackson, Tenn., Verl Coomer of Wavelend, Miss.; a daughter, D'Orsay Winchester of Arbor; two sisters, Alma Coomer of Arbor, Pearl Brown of Marshall; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters, and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance from 4:30-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Naamon Eaker officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins.
