CARBONDALE -- Eldon Clutts, 85, of Carbondale died Saturday, Nov. 16, 1996, at his home.
He was born Oct. 15, 1911, in Grand Tower, Ill., the son of William and Gertrude Hagler Clutts. He married Mildred M. Clutts Jan. 16, 1933, in Jonesboro. She died April 12, 1994.
He was a retired farmer and attended the Water Valley Christian Church Northeast of Cobden. He had been active in the Union County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by a daughter, Loretta Lamer of Carbondale, a sister, Dorothy Glasco of Cobden, two grandsons and a great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Nyle Forby and Donald Pearson officiating. Burial will be in the Cobden Cemetery.
