Effie Hatcher, 72, 2852 Independence, died Monday, Sept. 14, 1992, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Dec. 14, 1919, at Sikeston, daughter of Joseph and Dixie Casteel Morris. She married Cleo Miller, who died in 1938. She then married Carl Pedigo, who died in 1967, and later married Raymond Hatcher, who also preceded her in death.
Hatcher had been a nurse's aide at the Osteopathic Hospital. She was a member of East Cape Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Chester Pedigo of Chicago Heights, Ill., Arthur Pedigo of Keysville, Va.; two daughters, Janet Dillman of Jonesboro, Ill., Myrtle Palmer of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Joseph Morris of Phoenix, Ariz., Jimmy Morris of St. Johns; a sister, Sue Bronsite of St. Charles; eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and grandchild.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at East Cape Baptist Church. The Rev. Raymond Oxford will officiate, with burial in Lightner Memorial Cemetery at Scott City.
