EDWIN MOONIER

PERRYVILLE -- Edwin J. "Koss" Moonier, 78, of Perryville, died Monday, May 20, 1996, at his home.

He was born Sept. 17, 1917, at Perryville, son of Pius and Marcella Mary Brewer Moonier. He and Cora Ann Rhodes were married Nov. 9, 1940. She died March 29, 1987. He and Leola "Lucy" Taylor Mezo were married Feb. 2, 1994.

Moonier had been a kiln fireman with Mississippi Lime Co. He was a member of St. Vincent's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, David Moonier of LaMont, Ill., Robert Moonier of Perryville; a daughter, Bonnie Moonier of Cape Girardeau; five sisters, Rose Paulus, Hester McAtee and Hazel Tucker of Perryville, Edna Vinson and Irene Rhodes of St. Louis, and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter and sister.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to service time. The wake will be at 7 tonight.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
