Edwin Clarence Dambach, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, June 25, 2021, at Ratliff Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 25, 1939, in Grand Tower, Illinois, to Clarence E. and Ruby Lowes Dambach. He and Judith A. Smith were married Aug. 21, 1959, at Cape Girardeau.

He was plasterer for Drury Construction Company for over 40 years, retiring in 2004.

Survivors include his wife, Judith A. Dambach of Cape Girardeau; three sons, E. Keith (Joan) Dambach and Charles S. Dambach, both of Cape Girardeau, and Marcus L. (Amy) Dambach of Shawneetown; five grandchildren, Christina A. (Mario) Whitney, Morgan L. Gockel, Haley R. Dambach, Ethan A. (Kenzie) Dambach and Benjamin M. Dambach; five great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Crystal L. Dambach of Benton, Missouri.

Edwin was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kenneth R. Dambach, on Aug. 28, 1992; a granddaughter, Kaela M. Dambach, on Aug. 28, 1992; and two sisters, Esther Schultz and Wilma Dost.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with Tim Smith officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of choice.
