Edward D. Stevens, 53, of Cape Girardeau and formerly of Zalma, died Saturday, June 7, 1997, at the Beverly Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept 2, 1943, in Bardley, Mo., the son of Grover and Eula Williams Stevens.
He was a retired merchant.
He served as a deacon of the Zalma General Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother; his fiance, Sheila Nall, and two sisters, Wanda Lineberry of Cape Girardeau and Vernie Becker of Advance.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel with the Rev. Gene Lineberry officiating. Interment will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
