SIKESTON -- Edward Seymour, 78, of Beavercreek, Ohio, formerly of Sikeston, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1993, at his home.
He was born Jan. 16, 1915, in Double Springs, Ala., son of Chester and Lecy Baldy Seymour. He and his wife, Hattie Ruth, were married Oct. 12, 1940. She died Aug. 4, 1991.
Survivors include two daughters, Maida Britt of Brunswick, Maine, Joan Seymour of Fairborn, Ohio; three brothers, Chester Seymour of Matthews, O.E. Seymour of Hobbs, N.M., Billy Seymour of Homlin, Texas; four sisters, Othel Porter of Matthews, Faye Jones of Sikeston, Kaye Johnson of Morley, and Robbie Nichols of McHenry, Ill.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Ponder Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. The Rev. Charles Jones will officiate, with burial in Walker Cemetery at Bloomfield.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
