Edward Minor

Edward Minor, 90, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, July 6, 2007, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Gir­ardeau, Mo.

He was born Nov. 25, 1916, in McGee, Mo., son of Bert and Della M. Stilts Minor. He and Agnes Westerwelle Minor were married Aug. 17, 1940, in Greenville, Mo.

Minor was the owner/operator of Cape Harley-Davidson Sales from 1952 to 1963. Later he became the owner/operator of Broadway Shell and Themis Car Wash. From 1971 to 1995 he was a mechanic for Minor's Harley-Davidson. Minor was a member of Capaha Trails Motorcycle Club, Cape Girardeau Elks Lodge and TPA. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes, of Cape Girardeau; a son, Charles E. "Sonny" and wife Barb of Cape Girardeau; three grandchildren, Nick Minor of Benton, Mo., Michele Tumbleson and husband Danny of Sikeston, Mo., Tina Minor of Seattle, Wash.; three great-grandchildren, Jacob Tumbleson, Abigail Minor, Ashley Cain; a sister, Viola M. Brown of Oriole.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Ferguson and Rev. Mike Pope (Christian Motorcycle Association) officiating.

Entombment will be at Cape County Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Cape Girardeau, with full military honors by the Missouri Honors Team.

Memorials may be made to the Missouri Veterans Home of Cape Girardeau.
