Edward Russell McDaniel, 46, of Memphis, Tenn., died Sunday, Oct. 6, 1996, at his home, following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 23, 1949, in Cape Girardeau, son of Edward Eugene and Emma Jane Lewis McDaniel. He and Barbra Ann Hester were married Feb. 12, 1972, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau.
McDaniel was a 1967 graduate of Central High School, and served six years in the U.S. Navy. He formerly was manager of Kingsway Skateland, and area supervisor of Long John Silver's in Cape Girardeau. He was a general manager with Crystal Co. the past several years. He was a member of Raleigh United Methodist Church in Memphis.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Nathan McDaniel of the home; a daughter, Bethany McDaniel of the home; his parents of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Dorlis Ebner of Kingman, Ariz.; and a brother, Ken McDaniel of Cape Girardeau.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in Memphis, with the Rev. Roger Joseph officiating.
