Edward Owen Lackey, 95, of Ullin, Ill., formerly of Pulaski, Ill., died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Union County Nursing Home in Anna. He was born May 13, 1911, in Pulaski, Ill., son of Edward J. and Stella Curry Lackey. He and Maude Braden were married on Dec. 24, 1935, in Cairo, Ill. She died on Jan. 11, 1991...

Edward Owen Lackey, 95, of Ullin, Ill., formerly of Pulaski, Ill., died Saturday, May 27, 2006, at Union County Nursing Home in Anna.

He was born May 13, 1911, in Pulaski, Ill., son of Edward J. and Stella Curry Lackey. He and Maude Braden were married on Dec. 24, 1935, in Cairo, Ill. She died on Jan. 11, 1991.

Lackey was a member of Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Pulaski. He was a member of Caledonia Masonic Lodge 47 AFAM and Caledonia Chapter 587 Order of Eastern Star. He was also a member of the Metropolis White Shrine 89, the Ainad Temple Shrine and the Scottish Rite Consistory Valley of Southern Illinois. He was a retired farmer and was a former employee of Reeves Feed and Grain in Pulaski.

Survivors include a brother, Robert T. Lackey, of Melbourne, Fla.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge, Ill., with the Rev. Terry Kern officiating. Interment will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge.
