MARBLE HILL -- Edward Joseph Horrell, 71, died Friday at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born at Drum on Nov. 10, 1924, son of the late Dennis V. and Caroline E. Laurentius Horrell.
He married Celestine M. Arnzen on Sept. 16, 1950.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Michael Horrell of Ste. Genevieve and Kenneth Horrell of Marble Hill; two daughters, Diane Horrell of Marble Hill and Nancy McClain of Kelso; three brothers, Leo Horrell and Robert Horrell, both of Marble Hill, and Louis Horrell of St. Louis; a sister, Mathilda Eftink of Portageville; and five grandchildren.
Horrell was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church at Glennon, a World War II veteran and a farmer.
Visitation is today after 4 p.m. at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill. Parish prayers will be held at 7 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary service will be at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated by the Rev. Lewis Hejna at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Glennon. Burial will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
