SIKESTON, Mo. -- Edna Woodward, 91, of Farmington, Mo., formerly of Sikeston, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor Nursing Home.
She was born Dec. 12, 1912, in Libertyville, Mo., daughter of Senator Charles John and Jane "Jennie" Sonderman Belken. She and Clarence E. "Woody" Woodward were married Dec. 3, 1936, at Fredericktown, Mo. He died in December 1980.
Woodward was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington, and a former member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sikeston.
Survivors include three sons, Dave Woodward of Atlanta, Ga., Ken Woodward of Kansas City, Mo., Jim Woodward of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; two daughters, Sue Cywinski and Joan Walton of Chicago; a sister, Kathryn Miller of St. Louis; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother and five sisters.
Friends may call Thursday at Taylor Funeral Chapel in Farmington, and Friday after 11 a.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
A funeral Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Francis Church, with Monsignor Stephen Schneider and Deacon Mike Burch officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
